This extreme cold out east in the States…
The Mount Washington Observatory at the peak of the Northeast’s highest mountain, famous for its extreme weather conditions, also recorded an actual temperature of minus 47 (minus 44 C), tying an observatory record set in 1934 and a wind gust of 127 mph (204 kmh).
Across the rest of the region, wind chills — the combined effect of wind and cold air on exposed skin — dropped to as low as minus 45 to minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 43 to minus 45 C), the National Weather Service reported.

Pineapples and loofahs are a means of letting people know a person is interested in swinging or swapping?!? Am I the only one who didn’t know this?! Friend just got an unwanted invite (he thinks from coworkers). And here I just thought a pineapple was a fruit and loofahs were for dry skin lol.

There was an old thread somewhere discussing firearms in the US and whatnot, but who knows where it is. So I’ll post it here.
Was reading an article about the old guy shooting a young fella at the door of his house in Kansas City. The article ended with:
In another case of a person being shot after going to the wrong address, a homeowner in upstate New York fatally wounded a 20-year-old woman on Saturday when she turned onto the wrong driveway while looking for a friend’s home.
Two Texas cheerleaders were also shot northeast of Austin after they got into the wrong car in a grocery store parking lot early on Tuesday. In both the New York and Texas incidents, the shooters have been charged with felonies.
Crazy stuff. And some people want it here.
