Loaded another 100 rounds for the mouse gun for our September league match targets, and loaded 100 new .223 brass for fire forming .
took the irons off and installed a Leupold 3-9 on the Mighty Mouse in preparation for a guest who is coming out with me to the range today - he has not shot in 40 or so years, so it will be benched for him - zero recoil and easy sighting!

Fought with a new RCBS bench priming unit last nite, it wasn't seating to flush even, wthout a heck of a struggle, it won't survive long if I have to get that much leverage on it for seating, and it didn't get past flush, managed to get them out of the shellholder and finished with the 21st Century. Only did about 1/2doz, did the rest with the 21st Century, I didn't have the patience to figure out what the issue is. Was doing Herter's and Hornady 6.5CM brass, they were pretty snug, but not anything crazy.

This last wk I got the ladder loads done for a 6.5CM with 125 Partitions and RL16. And I did the ladders w/RL26 and the 185Evo's for the 30R. Also did ladders for a 7-08 with 140 Accubonds and RL16. And did ladders for a different 6.5cm , 130 Berger OTM Hybrid w/RL16. Unloaded some ladders I hadn't tried in the 30R yet. Too used to the Chargemaster and Lyman scales, reach over and hit zero with nothing on the pan, don't do that with an Autotrickler that doesn't have the app zeroed out on the phone, that makes a mess. Had a few overthrows on the V4, after doing the update on it, discovered if I take a small Lee scoop, take out a few kernels, put it back on the scale and it'll throw the proper trickle, that was on stuff it threw .06-.08 over on, it would go to dead on then.. Guess you could call that tricking the trickler.

Not sure what you mean by having the app zeroed out on your phone. If I want to check my zero on my auto trickler I will just tap the target weight so it turns blue. Re zero the scale then tap the target weight so it turns green and your back in business.

i keep thinking i should come out of the dark ages and rig up with the autotrickler................... every time i think i am getting serious i see a post like this and think, my 10-10 that will show me a kernel of 133 has never once made me scratch my head and wonder what i'm doing wrong or forgot to program or what ever.
i guess when my targets start telling me i need more frustration i'll 'upgrade'. :sHa _sarcasticlol:

Found a lonely partial lb of Varget I forgot I had.
I remember (1998) using it for 303 British hunting loads so I made up some 303s with some of my old data this morning. I guess I used lots of Accurtae 2520 back then too.
Bullets used are Hornady 174gr RNSP and 174gr FMJ BT.
I know the 180gr RN are good out to 200 with Mk2 sight from before
Only primers I had were Federal large rifle Match.
I plan on carrying my full wood no4 this fall for a buddy with dementia.

Triple Deuce
My buddy has been getting terrible performance outta his 222 Rem 700.
3-5” is a common group at 50yds :0
I tried Nosler and Speer 40grs and/BLC2
Best was two holes touching with Nosler and a 4.5” flyer.
I’ll give it one last session and try some 50gr Vmax
45,55,69 and 77gr wts were used already as well as IMR 4198 with little success
I have a spare 22/250 barrel if the triple deuce is blr. (Done).
As well I’ll be loading some 120gr Speer GS to see which shoots the best from encore or savage axis in 25-06.
This will be my back up caliber after 303 Brit.

Took scope off a Dasher and barreled action out of stock. 1610 rounds and barrel is just a jack handle now. New 29" MTU Benchmark going on.

shorten the LOP
I cut 1" off the stock of my HVA 46B, and trimmed the butt plate to fit. It now measures 14".

Picked up a weatherby vanguard in 7mm from Roper1.
Started by prepping brass priming then did some test loads with 162 interlocks and 162 sst
Found some 150 Sirocco will try some of them next.
May pick up some eldx Nd give them a try
Son took his first bear with his .257.bob using 110 eldx 2 weeks ago. Big son of a 🐻 6 foot 5 nose to tail.
Bullet broke both shoulders and stopped on the far side of the hide....gave it to the boy when we skinned it out..
.now he can't find it

After getting the rifle back from Savage with a new barrel fitted, the process all started again.
The brass was already processed and ready to load so it was pretty quick work.
Starting at 53.5gr of 4831SC with 143gr ELD-X. Hopefully get out next weekend and try them out.
