Default Southern Alberta Lake Ice

Just wondering if anyone has noticed if the ice is off any of the southern Alberta lakes or getting closer? I usually go by what the Glenmore and Chestemere lake r doing and as of last week they were still covered edge to edge ☹️

When I drove by Chestermere on Saturday, I thought I saw some open water starting right around the shoreline, but maybe I was mistaken.

drove by twin and it is quite high and still frozen save for a bit of shoreline. I wonder if they opened the big gate at the milo canal starting point at the Bow considering how much flooding is occurring all around. will be driving by keho tomorrow.

I drove by Keho last Saturday and from highway 23, it appeared to be completely iced over still.

There are a few small reservoirs in southern Alberta that are open, such as Stafford reservoir. When I was at Newell last week, still completely iced over. Inlet at rolling hills is open, but rest of the reservoir is still iced over. I will be going by there again tonight, will update then. Overall, most larger reservoirs and lakes in SA are still covered, but ice is dissipating quickly. I am sure that by May 8th, all will be open, especially given the forecast.

Rolling Hills has open water around the edges, Newel is pretty much completely covered, some open in shallows. This is pretty much typical of most S. AB. Reservoirs right now.
