Default 2013 Archery Elk

Managed to hook up 24 hours into the season, bagging this bull on the morning of September 2. He's a first for me and a long (7 years long..) time coming. An absolutely perfect hunt that I won't soon forget!

It is a Carbon Element, and I love it. I cow called him away from his cows into a lane at 26 yards, stopped him and let er fly. Complete pass through and he piled up 60 yards away.

No thank God! Called for reinforcements and Argo 'd him out. Still a ton of work. Got over 200lb off the bone!
