Empty net goals never count in my book.

That being said, Calgary has to find a way to quit these last 10 minute rushes.
Play that way for the whole game and no one will touch them.

Kinda wonder if the new guys in the line up are hurting us?

The "Vets" get back and we lose 2 in a row? Hmmmmmmmm

I have never been a fan of Raymond. I think he is lazy.

My thinking regarding the vets as well. I've never been a Stajan fan, and Raymond started out well but he didn't look like much since coming back. It wasn't broke, so why fix it? The young guys have been playing with fire in the belly, let them keep at it.

Flames deserved better, but you gotta burry those chances.
Coburn and Sam in shortly, out Stajan and...Bouma?

Did Kessel even play last night ? Didn't even hear his name until his Sedin like empty netter.
And JVR he did get the redirect PP goal, but like Kessel, non entity for the most part. Americans eh.

Bouma or Raymond, flip a coin...? But Stajan for sure, trade him for a bag of pucks. Maybe he could go to Edmonton, they could make him the Captain or something....

Flames making other goalie look good again.
45-19 shots for Flames, not burying chances, again.

Truthfully I didn't feel the goaltending was that bad, buffalo scored some nice goals. We didn't have the forwards back helping out, and on 3 of the 4 goals out d-men just left guys wide open.

Doesn't matter whose in net they'd be hard pressed to stop any of those.

Calgary's unsustainable shooting % is coming back to normal & goaltending save % is trending back down to their normal averages. Advanced stats said this was going to happen.

Regardless of how the season plays out, they are one of the most exciting teams to watch when they've got the puck.

Hard work and effort will only get them so far but it's atleast it's entertaining!

yes, win or lose they are fun to watch. Their goal tending has let them down the last three games.

Default Calgary

I hope, this will be a 3-2 Calgary win.
Regardless of their losing streak, they have not been outclassed, in the losses, and in some of the games, they outplayed, the opposition, they just can't score at the moment. Still pretty intense, and exciting hockey.

Flames were winning the close games, and for past few weeks they are losing those games now.
They couldn't continue to score late 3rd period goals and have most of their scoring coming from their D men.
Nothing to do with what Don Cherry was just saying IMO, team no longer afraid of the Flames, BS, they are simply lacking in scoring a few more goals than the opposition.
Hoping they play the Oilers soon, at least one of the 2 teams will get a win.

That sucked so bad. Only the second time I have ever seen an goal on own net on a delayed penalty. That was a hard hole to dig out of, the OT loss was horrible.

Thanks Stajan for taking a late penalty and killing whatever 3rd period momentum they had. Get him a pillow for the bench. All he has done since come ng back is kill momentum

I was channel surfing between the nfl game and Canucks game and saw that goal. Thought it was pretty funny. I wonder what they will show more often this week, that goal or Kaperniuks td run.

I don't see how any team is "afraid" of a team that has lost 8 consecutive games. That isn't to say that teams won't take them serious. I think most non-fans saw this streak coming. I predicted it long ago. Maybe not this severe and sudden but it was bound to happen. Nevertheless, the team is well coached and managed and will hopefully compete in a few years time.

He made 30 saves on 32 shots last night for a .938 save percentage. Can't knock that.

Was 3-1 LA when I went to bed, pleased to see the highlights this morning.
Their comebacks will average out tho, like the past 9 games, 2&9, will give them half marks vs Canucks.
How much ice time is Johnny getting ? 22-24 min ?

Calgary would have won if they didn't get an Empty net goal on themselves in the First period against Vancouver......
