Default 18lbs Lake Trout

Was out at Spray Lakes fishing for the family day weekend
on Sunday Feb 15 and this was the catch of the day!!

Two large lakers out of spray on the same weekend?

Must be a planetary alignment

Great laker... wish I hooked one like that when I was there. They do exist but where they hide only you seem to know.

I released him for someone else to catch. He was 18 lbs when I weighted him

Just the scenery alone would make it worth going there...but catching a lunker like that helps too :-)

nice one , good on you for releasing it . Smaller ones probably better eating anyways . Could be the fish of a lifetime out of there

18 pounds? its weird that a 14 pounder looks bigger, i dunno about you but if i caught an 18 pound fish i wouldn't be throwing it back for someone else....just sayin

The golden rule is to release the bigger fish peter. whats the point of keeping the big breeders? They don't taste as good as the little tykes

Pictures are just as good to make a mount if thats the plan......breeders need to go back, beauty fish buddy by the way that lake is showing some great fish lately !!!!!!!

to be fair It is the best tasting fish ive ever had, i was worried it wouldnt be good as people say the bigger they are the grosser they are, maybe we got lucky with this one
