Smile NSR Goldeye

Went fishing with the girls for goldeye yesterday. Not many around but a few good sized ones. Going for some Walleye this weekend.

It looks like action on the NSR is really heating up. Might have to go check out some of my honey holes this weekend....

When you know there's a lot of goldeye around, and especially when you see them rising in the evening, try tossing out a small spoon or spinner with a silver blade. They seem to really go for small flashy things, and they're a blast to fight on light gear.

Just make sure you don't set the hook too hard, they have rather fragile mouths and it's easy to rip the hook right out.
