I wasn't going to bite at his question about the pic in my avatar, not sure what he was getting at, but you can bet it was some kind of trap.

You might get the record for reviving a 3 year old thread.... Just Kidding it was interesting reading as well.

David if you peruse this thread again, can you post what the process is for having the fish recognized, is it pics and measurements, do you have to freeze and submit the fish, some info on the process would be very interesting for the once in a lifetimers some of us may come across.

Default Congrats!

Very nice fish sir! It is very difficult to catch this calibre of fish and even harder to remember to keep line samples and documentation of such. So kudos to you sir!
Far too many haters in the world (don't keep/kill, etc) for my liking, so just had to throw my opinion in.

Tight lines

They have both catch and keep and catch and release

here is the Fresh Water Halls forms
http://www.freshwater-fishing.org/pd...pplication.pdf

here is the IGFA
https://www.igfa.org/Fish/World-Record-Application.aspx

if anyone has question about the record book I have both(pm me) or you can ph them and ask

I have recorded records in both books

also held 11 WR with 7 being current and one more pending

Excellent thread Speck...even if it is a few years old! Some monumental angling accomplishments there, I am sure hundreds of hours on the water to accomplish as well. With the ban on netting, there will be a few lakes producing some new records within this province in another 5 years or so. Walleye will fall, and Pike soon after. Time to start fishing Bisthco on a regular basis, as well as several other out of the way northern gems. Walleye will come from the NSR in the next year or 2...East side of province.
Again excellent thread.

Spruce

always knew from your posts that you are an avid fisherman and hunter, and probably the best whitefish fisherman I've heard of, but didn't realise you had those records. Congrats on those accomplishments.
