Dec 31 and all the planned upgrades to the Archery Range are pretty much complete. For 2014, we be adding some signage and a bit more work on the Trail Walk and Stand simulation. The Club is accepting applications from prospective members, so now is the time to apply if you are interested. It is quite possible, the club will be capped out in early Feb this year, so if you snooze---you will lose.
Access road to the Archery Range will be kept open this winter.

Actually I think a regular membership (minus firearms ranges) includes the archery target butts and archery walk!

I recall being told this as well, but I didn't see that on the website.

Archery Range has now been open for two years. I am reminded that we still need signage. I think we now have a 3D bear near the tree stand simulation target butt. A new toilet on a concrete tank was added this spring...as well as lots of gravel for the road.
Although Range Memberships for the firearms Ranges are capped, General Memberships are not capped...and the General Membership gives you use of everything on-site EXCEPT the firearms ranges...so, yes you can get access to SPFGA Archery if you are so inclined.
I am not an Archer (just do the maintenance and look after building projects) so any advice you have regarding improvements... let me know.
In 2015, newbie Range memberships (over 700 were available) capped out in five days. For those wanting Range Memberships, January 1st is the best day to hit SEND with your application.
