Default HELP. We have to move

The farm we rent is being sold. He have until the 31 of Oct0ber.
Wife works full time in Rocky Mountain House so we have to be within
20-30 miles. We are just us, three horses and some house pets.
We both make decent money ands have never had trouble paying the rent.
If any of you good people out there hear of an acreage to rent please let us know. I am starting to think I may have to get out the wall tent!

Double check the law, because I am pretty sure they have to give you 90 days notice

Quote:
When does notice have to be given?
For week-to-week periodic tenancies, notice must be
given by either the landlord or the tenant on or before
the first day of the tenancy week to be effective on the
last day of the tenancy week.

For month-to-month periodic tenancies, notice must
be given by a tenant on or before the first day of the
tenancy month to be effective on the last day of the
tenancy month.
Notice by a landlord must be given
on or before the first day of the three month notice
period.

If the date the notice is due falls on a holiday, (e.g.
January 1 or July 1) the next business day becomes
the due date according to the
Interpretation Act

We asked for an extention of two weeks but the answer was NO!
My wife has been packing but to where? She has a real good job in Rocky Mountain House and am caretaker of some campgrounds near Nordegg.
We have never been late paying the rent and have kept the place better
that is has ever been.
We have been paying $1000/mo + utilities (we have never been late on them
either) We are non drinkers too.

We are real desperate to say the least. There is no horse boarding places around here and the storage units here are all full.
I am ready to take the horses to the mountains & live in a tent.

If anyone out there knows of a place in the country near Rocky/Caroline/Leslieville please contact us. PM will be greatly appreciated.

Tell them to give the legal minimum notice to your lawyer and see how they come around. If they want you out early they can compensate you for it. Don't let them walk all over you, its not like you ever expect anything from them again that you have to be treated like their doormat. Legal minimum notice or they can ante in with some cash to your satisfaction.

We found a place in the last week. Place for the horses and close to Rocky.
Thanks to the people who offered places for the horses.
