Default Staged, Fake Attrocities

I saw this story, and all I could immediately think was 'Staged! Jussi Smollet event!'

https://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/world/...body-1.5048838

Really, what are the odds that A: anybody would do this, and B: it would be discovered by a hard core PETA freak with bomb disposal skills? Sorry, I don't buy it. It wouldn't be the first time some 'atrocity' against animals was staged by those groups for public attention.

And how the heck does anybody get a goose to tolerate being duct taped??

A lot of the stuff we see, is staged, usually to invoke the sympathy factor and make you feel guilty, so you send money.

Most of what we get fed is staged, embellished or fake

Very little is actually the way it was.

Which is why I cut cable and my home phone.

Garbage on tv, telemarketing losers and politicians on my home phone

This is nothing new. They have been showing the same pathetic looking dogs, fly covered children and people that have to walk 10 miles to get water for decades. Anything that will separate you from your money is fair game in their books. The difference is, with social media you don't even need to spend money on advertising, way more people can get in on the scams.

"Explosive did not go off since bird entered water and it shut off..." even the cheapest firecracker fuse will burn and cause explosion. Goose did some critical thinking putting out the fire, then it flew off to a PETA representative for help, made him a hero and went on about his daily goose life.

That's how I read it too....that goose was a hero, saved his whole flock which otherwise would have got blown up real good.

Sure hope sparkle socks doesn't see this or he will instruct the people from WE to immediately send a million to PETA given that it was a Canada Goose and was held against it's will in a foreign country, repatriate that goose and put it on at least 3 social programs here in Canada, maybe a private lake somewhere

I'm waiting for "goose lives matter" movement to hatch, hopefully they migrate once the cold kicks in.

I have no reason to doubt the story. There are some sick people out there.

Really? Read this and tell me it doesn't stink to high heaven.

https://www.cleveland19.com/video/20...ve-taped-body/

BALDWIN, L.I. — Some twisted person tried to blow up a goose at Silver Lake Park in Baldwin on Long Island Friday.
The bird was found with an explosive device duct taped to its chest.
“She would be dead and so would her flock mates as well,” said John DiLeonardo who rescued the bird.
DiLeonardo happens to be a member of both PETA and LION. PETA is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and LION is an acronym for Long Islanders Orchestrating for Nature.
The goose was spotted Friday with this explosive duct taped to its breast.
The heavy duty firework didn’t explode. The theory, according to DiLeonardo, is that when the perpetrator or perpetrators lit the fuse on the firework, the frightened bird ran into the water and doused the fuse.
“I’m sure she was very trusting before this cruel person strapped this firecracker to her,” he said.
The bird was injured by the tightly wrapped duct tape around its body. After it was captured and the explosive removed, it was taken to a vet. A few hours later. the goose was deemed healthy enough to be released back into the lake and she seems to be doing just fine a day later.
DiLeonardo fears whomever tried to kill the bird might do strike again.
“The FBI, medical professionals, the police department have all well documented the link between animal abuse and human violence, so it’s only a matter of time before this person escalates and harms another animal or a person.”
PETA and LION are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

A little about PITA and its history.

I am no conspiracy nut but I do retain a healthy does of skepticism about the motivations of groups with actions completely at odds with what they want the public to think they are about.

$20 says the duct tape only has the PETA moonbats fingerprints on the adhesive.

I have the secret to turn lead into gold. I'm willing to sell, as my goose is sick and needs care (it can't lay golden eggs anymore). PM for details to transfer funds, PDF file ready to send with all details on creating gold...trust me.
