Default Sylvan Whites

Heading to Sylvan this weekend and going to try for whites on the fly rod
Am I wasting my time or is there a chance that I could have some luck?
Have been out recently with my Deeper sonar and marked a lot of fish 6' to 10' below the surface in 20'-30' of water.Could this be whitefish or perch or even schools of minnows?
Looking forward to any feed back
(Or do I just go for guaranteed walleye?)
