Default NSR goldeyes.

I have to come to Edmonton for some time to do rehab on my damaged shoulder. While I’m there I’d like to try catching some goldeyes in the NSR. Could someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help.

You will catch goldeye all throughout the NSR. I have caught them at the Whitemud creek all the way down to the Legends.
Look for the inflows, backeddies and current breaks always seem to be around there.
I have had better luck from Downtown to Rundle park
If you dont mind a little walk pretty good fishing for all species from the Science Park and upstream from there about a 1/2 mile or so.
If you are back in August and have a fly rod bring it, fly fishing for goldeye with any kind of size 12-14 dry fly is excellent then.

Most of the pics are down around the Science Park but good fishing around Dawson Park and Hermitage Park as well.

Trying out a demo Carrot Stick rod about 10 years ago
