Default Summer Lakers

Any tips for summer lakers?

Will be houseboating the Shuswap this week, and obviously want to spend some time fishing. Won't have downriggers. Not sure how effective trolling will be from the houseboat. No fishfinder.

Do winter tactics work? Buzz bombs, and tube jigs?

If you really wany a chance to land some bows or lakers, invest in a small portable fish finder(100.00)and some pink ladys or dipsy divers. You can get ur lures down with these and will greatly improve ur chances.Early morning and late evening troll deep lipped crankbaits and plugs.Fishfinder is for finding structure, ridges, drops, high spots so to say.Target thes spots and you may have some luck.headin out there ourselves in late July, but I'm rigged for deep fishin.Hope this helps.Have fun and good luck
