Disgusting, isn't it?

We need to be able to elect our Judge's like they do stateside.

That or the Judge can house him until his court date since he's "not a danger to anyone" despite just waiving a loaded handgun at someone in a fit of rage.

More fodder for the Liberal cannon on legal gunowners guys like this need to be sentenced to a real prison term.
Anybody remember Terence Stonechild, for his 90th criminal conviction he was sentenced to 412 days in July 2021 he was released a couple weeks ago currently terrorising Onion lake.

A 3 strike prison on Ellesmere Island would be perfect wouldn't even need a fence.

Exactly my feelings, no fences, no guards, just drop in supplies to keep them fed a basic diet.

Pretty obvious the guy fears no consequence, dangerous offender, lock him up and throw away the keys. I cannot imagine what it must be like on the res.

First degree murderers don't get a real prison term!

Stonechild no doubt a perfect candidate for the glaude ruling!

Definitely in favor of Elsmere Island idea!

He's getting charged with pointing a firearm? What is the severity of this charge? How about call it aiming a loaded gun at someone while yelling I'm gonna blow your head off.

I like the idea of him staying with the judge while awaiting his court date. These are not the people we need out on the streets.

That lakefield .22 ....

Thats how they look if you refinish the stock and dont take the time to clean the old finish out of the checkering....some stripper and a toothbrush would fix that up.......

Probably used Tru-Oil too......should go to jail just for that alone......

What is up with road rage around the Calgary area? Anyone else notice that or just me?

I swear, probably 1/5 times I've been in/near Calgary (especially around Balzac), I've witnessed road rage incidents of people cutting each other off, aggressively tailgating (like I'm talking <3' behind), people giving the finger, all sorts of craziness.

Not related to the road rage but… met a couple a few days ago…. They woke up at 4 am, some high as a cloud low life was banging on their patio door glass panel… Husband was trying to scary him away but he was like zombie, zero reaction to anything… called the cops and were told to get out of the house. So they did, the zombie broke the glass door and got inside the house. Totally out of his mind. Cops showed up but were afraid to get into the house to drug his ars out so the K-9 unit came in. The dog was unleashed , the zombie was in the bedroom on their bed sleeping or hiding… The dog shredded him, literally! Blood everywhere, home owners had to call the disaster restoration company to de-contaminate the house from the blood spilled… They are still shaking…

When I looked at the pic of the guns I said hey I got a lakefield just like that that I sanded down when I was 12-14 not sure on the oil finish but I definitely dident clean out the checkering lol. I couldent imagine how many thousands of gofers that gun has shot on the farm. I also have a sears 22 I got from a guy that’s the same just branded different. Neat story his wife worked for sears late 70s they had a promotion on guns an employee discount an Mabe something else he bought the gun for 15 dollars new. He said they were about a hundred regular

At least our local Staff Sergeant put a plug in at bottom of article saying not all gun owners are losers.
I wish the guy would of waived the nine at the police so they coulda ventilated the POS.

“The alleged details in this matter is not representative of responsible gun ownership and was unsafe for all involved. It is fortunate nobody was harmed. Public safety is of paramount importance which was the driving factor in the immediate response and subsequent search of a residence to prevent further offences. The charges and disposition of the seized firearms from this point will be decided by the courts.” – Staff Sergeant Mark Wielgosz – Detachment Commander Strathmore RCMP

The only question is will he be arrested again before he appears in court, or after he gets his slap on the wrist in court?

I am shocked and frustrated that this person was given bail.

Restricted weapons and prohibited weapons not registered, waving a loaded gun at someone?

What do you have to do to be remanded into custody until trial?

I would have thought he checked enough boxes to not be released....

That is nothing, this guy was on bail while charged with murder, and even after being charged with weapons offences while on bail, he is still on bail.

It's getting really bad. Had a guy literally cut me off, I had to turn and stop so he didn't hit me on Deerfoot. I give a quick honk, he puts it parks and jumps out walking back to me. Well he is 6'1" 190lbs, muscle shirt and has a mad mad face. Course I reach to my door side pocket for my equalizer in case. I see the traffic starts to move and honk/point that it's moving, he sees this and gets back in his car. He then proceeds to keep looking back waving his fists and then all of a sudden he does a sitting dance and waving his hands, wow just wow.

The perp charged used to work for me, years ago, he never showed any violent tendencies at all. Wild, drunken little bugger, but never saw more than that.

That was very normal practice in the 90s in Arizona .Not sure if it still goes on .
Back then you could carry arms at all times, guys would flash their guns to you if you looked at there muscle car to long ! I was told, they believe you might be looking at them to steal them . So they would flash the gun .
Very odd this guy in Alberta was driving around with a loaded hand gun in his car .Looks like he was looking for trouble .

Had this happen to a friend, when traffic started moving, the guy rammed his car and took off.

Friend got the plate number, but the perp had no insurance and a raft of unpaid fines. Police just shrugged and washed their hands of the matter. Since my friend didn't have collision insurance, he had to pay out of pocket for the repair.
