305 Late Season Cow Elk

I have been in 305 since the 20th looking for cow elk. They seemed to have vanished!!!! Damn NDP and Liberals😎😂
I get that on a storm day they will hold tight in the bush. I really thought that we have found something by now😩. Have been on west side for the majority of the time.
Is anyone seeing any sign anywhere in the area?

Was out there as well last couple of days and not even a track. Too much snow there right now to explore.

Same thing in 306. Area where we have permission didnt have a single fresh sign when usually every year its been really easy to locate the elk. Put on several miles on the boots, nothing.
Saw around 150-200 elk down in one of the fields at another ranch, no permission though. Our last day was the 20th

Hopefully you have better luck then us. We had a mulie tag in 305 and seen elk in there earlier this year!

Going into 305 for 4 days from 27-30 looking for my dad's late season cow tag. If anyone feels like PM me. I know wher3 I'm gonna start and hopefully be successful the first day out. We will be rocking snow shoes the whole time. Will be packing out since we don't have a snowmobiile. Bring a pull behind sled and leave it on a ridge and if we connect then run back for it.

The are likely massed up in Ghost Pine, bedded out in the bald open spaces. I have never managed to fill a cow tag in 305. Never see one where I could shoot it while I have a tag in hand, only bulls. Always saw them inside the Ghost Pine property as they know they are safe in there.
