Default Spring lake advice

Going to spring lake tomorrow morning. Never been to or fished the lake, so I'm looking for any tip. I'll ba taking both my fly rod and ul
So any suggestion of flys or lures would be great
Have access to a kayak so I should be able to get anywhere on the lake

Thanks in advance

Do a quick search for a depthchart youll see theres kindof a big square hole towards one end of lake Id suggest trying that area with the ut first then if not having any results leech pattern through the middle. I know not too helpful but its my approach to almost every lake around edmonton.

I would recommend a different choice of lake, I noticed some winter kill in February, probably all freshly stocked fish in there now.

i am not trying to put a damper on your outing but it did partially winterkill this year. it is areated so i'm sure a lot of fish survived and the perch have been getting quite large. if this is your first time there and you don't have planned acsess you are in for an adventure. the locals don't like us peasents using thier lake and if you do get on i suggest the channel on the east side by the beaver dam (deep hole) or just west of the beach area.

quite honestly my advice is contact the edm. trout club. please post how you make out. good luck
