Talking Wabamun Lake

Went fishing at Wabamun, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will let them do the talking!

Always a good sign when the fish are jumping. Did you manage to hook into the jumper? great pic.

those are great pics van, but what amases me is that your putzing around wab in a canoe.

hey you were there on sunday right? I remembered seeing two young guys on a canoe with a minkota cruising along right by me near wabamun docks, I was fishing out of a kayak

I saw one of you guys sleeping in the front of the canoe over at Fallis - no wonder you were dragging weeds off the bottom.

Nice work gentlemen ........... looks like you two had a pretty decent day. Nice piglet you got there.

It can get pretty crazy out there. I went solo on Wednesday and got battered by waves

Our goal was to catch a fish over 10lbs. We got there at 9am, half an hour in, double header, one 11lb, the other 12lb. After that was all small guys. We were having a debate wether fish don't bite midday. Decided to relax and almost fell asleep while trolling. A short while later this 18lb big mama shows up. That sure woke us !
