Default Lunker Bow River Rainbow

Me and riffer hit the bow today(while i was a lil hungover haha) really slow day, and by slow i mean one fish. But that one fish sure made up for the lack of fish. My new personal best rainbow. 24". Only pic i got cause just after that pic it flipped into the net, i grabbed it again flipped again back into the net, 3rd time was a charm and she got away so at least i got one pic. Got her on the SJW.

Welcome to freakin' Calgary! Two days ago ya had a thread about how glad you were to have a 4X4 because of the foot of wet snow we got. Today, you're nailing a sweet 'bow on the Bow in a damn T-SHIRT! What a world.

Hey, love the shades, Mav!

makes up the the snow storm, I guess, but that doesn't help me at all, we're still hard water up here....

HAHAHA nope i agree that fish is a thing of beauty me well............

Morph she gave the best fight ive had in a LONG time, surprisingly she jumped 3 times one time i swore she got a good 2ft of air, then she decided to swim away from me on the surface of the water so there was alot of top water thrashing there, then she went down and i could not move her for the life of me, if it was during the hookset i would have swore it was a snag, but she didnt take any big runs just a few small ones but alot of head shaking and rolling.

But i got to get going im headin out again today, maybe i can get my new personal best brown today, keeping my fingers crossed.

Thumbs up

Great Fish nice job of the CPR.
This is a bit off topic but I have been reviewing the Alaskan regs in prep for my Unalakleet trip and found out that if you remove the fish from the water even for CPR it is concidered a kept fish. that makes beautiful photo ops like yours a bit more challenging Once Again Great fish and Photo thanks for sharing Mav!
