Default Kootany lake

Thinking of going down next month for a shot at some Gerrard and don't really have any idea where to start.

What would be a good campground with a decent boat launch.

Any help or suggestions sure appreciated.

THANKS

Municipal in nelson 5min to the arm . Kokanee glcr park on arm 25 min by water to lake. Woodbury 1/2 way up west shore of main lake marina. Mirror lake just south of kaslo (smallmouth in pond).on lake not sure if the have a launch 10 min from kaslo by water. This just a few lots of other resorts /camp sites. Be safe towing some 30k speed signs rreally do mean 30 in that neck of the woods.

Default

here is some info..

we went out of Boswell but there is a marina at south end and Crawford bay boat launches and just before ferry there is one .. some are not that great just watch as you drive up east side.. you can see most campgrounds some are away from lake

also just use the search on here and type in Kootenay .. we went down with Downriggers at 87ft out in middle with Leaman plugs and I got 7 ..my buddy Craig has a great set up boat for the lake.. once we told the guides what the fow we were catching they got a 18# Bull Trout.. it was in April though

hope this helps
