Default Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva

Just finished watching the Paul vs. Silva fight.

I watch lots of MMA, not much boxing, so maybe I have this wrong, but I thought the judges were watching a different fight here. I had Silva up 5 rounds to 3.

Silva was definitely better 2,3,4,5 and 6. Jake got the first round, as Silva didn't do much except study his timing and feel him out, The 7th Jake got the knock down and the 8th was close.

Maybe I'm jaded. I am curious to get other opinions.

I'd say you're right.

If you've ever watched a hockey game, it won't take long till you realize the refs, judges in this case, sometimes don't know what they are doing.

Literally every person on Twitter is saying Silva beat Paul. I bet the judges are paid off.

I would like to see Paul actually fight in the WBF. Probably get his azz kicked.

I was following the fight on MMA junkie, they had Paul winning the fight with detailed accounts of each round as they happened.

I'm a huge Anderson fan, but he lost the fight. Too much sandbagging. Jake pressured him more and landed the bigger shots.

But it doesn't matter - they're both getting $5 million + for that fight, so everyone's a winner.

^^^ I don’t watch that stuff anymore and haven’t in years. But when I saw the name Anderson Silva, I thought “isn’t he old for this” or “hmm, maybe someone else with same name”.

All for money and entertainments. Like mayweather vs Connor. Mayweather got paid $100 million, mcgregor was guaranteed $30 millions .

Wonder what the Vegas line on this match was ?

I love MMA, but this sure is farcical.

Any more talk of one eyed Bisping fighting one of the Pauls?

Time for one of the Pauls to fight a boxer of their own age and an actual pro. MMA fighters that could actually kick, elbow, etc. would destroy the Paul lads who have little training on how to fight that way. That would screw up the money machine though. Bit of a circus for sure and many eat that stuff up.

I’m 50.
I could beat jake Paul mma.
He could beat me boxing.
Silva might beat me mma..
But I’d beat them both in a bar fight.
After beating them both I’d still have the utmost respect for each.
They deserve that atleast for what they’ve accomplished in life.

The only fighting that is more real than boxing is "King of the Streets", and most UFC guys might not be able to handle that.

I don't disagree, but I wasn't referring to which was more real.
Paul, a boxer seems to always call out MMA fighters to a boxing match which to me gives him an advantage. I'd like to see him go the other way and challenge a current MMA fighter to an MMA match.

And, ironically, he's now calling out Nick Diaz - who he outweighs by 30lbs. And Diaz is a MMA guy, not a boxer. Always some angle to Jake Paul's money machine.

Like others have said, I want to see how he would do with someone his own size, who is in his own sport (a boxer). But then again, that may not be that interesting .... lol

That's why I said that Andrew Tate would be interesting. Andrew is about the same size, and most of his fights are won with punching.

I thought I was the only one who felt the was rigged. Sometimes the judges are delusional.

I’d much rather see Vitor get in there than Diaz. Although he’s getting up there in age as well. I think his explosive style could win.
