Question What are you drawing for this year??

Hey guys,

I think that we have enough years of prioity for many different hunts.

How are the elk seasons in 400,402, and 404? what about numbers? I know that 404 has a draw season but 400 and 402 are open. We were also considering 420 but not to sure about numbers. What do you think?

Other than that I think that I will save prioritoy for another hunt.

Anyone else considering the same?

I'll be putting in for:
300 elk
400 bull moose
210 mule buck

Not enough points to get any, maybe the moose.5 years ago I did get drawn for elk in 300 with o points. This year I have 3 points for elk and 7 for moose.I've also got 6 points for archery lope but probably won't try to draw a tag as I don't know where to go.

The group I hunt with hunt deep south in 400,boardering 300 and Waterton and we get a bull or 2 every year, usually mid Sept.

There is a fairly healthy population of elk in 400 and 402, but because it is mostly crown land, the hunting pressure is pretty high. If you're willing to put some miles on your boots you might find some elk. I shot my very first elk in 400 last year a km or so off of the Lynx Creek Road, and we see elk quite often down there. Bulls are taken every year, but it is a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

Moose 511
Cow elk 511
antlerless mule 510

I guess I will hold off on my Muley buck since the zone I liked going to was probably destroyed by the CWD in 234. This year I will try muley doe in 510 and if I see some nice bucks I will put my buck tag in there next year.

999,,,,its a bloody love-hate relationship. Still trying to figure odds on a certain hunt, and everything else is on hold till i get it figured out. To go for it, or not to go for it, will i get it, or should i hold one more year to see more data! All these hunts with some big priorities. Can only take afew big hunts each fall, so regardless of how you swing it, in the end you end up losing out on getting the tags and getting priorities built back up again. Its drivin me crazier each year this goes on!!

Not going to spot X? Can a person still hunt there even if it is a Provincial Park or Provincial something now? Yea its me, (can you remember my other user name?) but I haven't been to that area since you told me about it. 337 is where my draws are going for mulie doe and buck.

trophy and archery antelope 999

Wainwright deer is a possibility with a 2 priority but I don't know if I wanna draw there or not this year.

I'll 999 everything except maybe archery antelope OR elk. Oh and if there's antlerless draws they'll go in unencumbered. Gotta have meat tags

Antlerless whitetail and mulie (assuming that I don't draw a buck tag, I will try for an undersubscribed mulie) in 108

Antlered mulie in 108

Antlered moose in 400

Anltered elk in 300

Non-trophy antelope in 102/118

Trophy antelope in 102/118

Hopefully it will be a succesful fall.

Im going to 999 everything except my mulie buck. I'll be priority 4 on it this year so I want to find somewhere decent to go. No use wasting it on an area I could have got into with priority 1 or 2.

Have an outside chance of Mule Deer in 202 but will put in for Mule Doe in 312 and doe WT in 152. Those should be sure things.

If I do not get the draw in 202 then I'll try general mule with a bow in 152.

Also going for WT near Lac La Biche. Also trying for elk with the bow in 312 as well.

Have to put off moose in 520 'til at least next year and not enough points for any of my 3 antelope draws yet, proably starting next year though so may have to put off the moose for 2 years.

Guy just doesn't have enough holiday time in a year, or for that matter enough hunting season!!
