Smile Cabelas Edmonton is hiring

If you have some sales or warehouse experience, there might be a job for you. Check out Cabelas Careers.

FYI

Cabelas doesn't pay overly well, but the staff discount it worth it - particularly Bargain Cave stuff!

Do they have any Vice President openings? I will settle for President or CEO too.

True, but unless you can trade open box rubber boots, slighty damaged fly reels and trailer tires off at Atco, Safeway and Petrocanada, crappy wages are simply crappy wages.

The trouble with these big chains, is when you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Absolutely true. I wouldn't work there as a career, by any means. Can't make a living. Great little side job, though

Work for free and still be ahead of the game when it comes to staff discount..

One would have thought that the headhunters from Cabalas have been through WSS about two months ago.

Some of the best employees at WWS south Edmonton say they are gone after May. I never asked them where they are moving to.

Please note, I am not trying to create trouble.

I've been thinking of getting a side job to help my wife through university, this might be just what I'm looking for. However I'll see how much actually makes it home

Cabela's would be a great retirement job. Better than a greeter at Wally World. Now I just need to be able to retire.

Wish I still had my old hiring info.

Not very much of my paycheque made it home - which kinda sucked, since I was only making 10 bucks an hour, and driving an hour each way to work there. LOL

I know this is a old thread but I thought I'd revive it.
I was wondering if anyone new the starting wage at cabelas and what the employee discount is? I currently have 6 days off in a row, twice a month and would like a part-time job somewhere I like to shop. Any info is appreciated, Thanks.

haha...$23 an hour...i don't think the managers even make that.

regardless of how cool the store is and how awesome the products they carry are - its still a job in RETAIL. I think $12/hour is about right for retail these days...if you're lucky.

maybe somebody who actually works there can confirm - please?

I think they want you to put in a minimum of 24hrs/week though.

Thanks for all the replies.
I'll give them a call and see what the say.
Maybe they'll tell me the info I need right over the phone.
I figured it was around 12/hr and 30-40% off goods.
A minimum of 24hrs/week could be ****ty for me.

Thanks guys,

Skell
