Default Ruger 1

I sold a 1980's #1 special varminter in 220 Swift a few years back and still keep kicking myself...it had really really nice wood. Price on these has doubled since then, of course.

I would be all over an RSI K model in .257 or 7x57 if I ever see one for sale.

My K1-RSI in .308 Win

Waited a lot of years to get my hands on this rifle, might just be last one I'll ever sell.

And her all dressed up to go out.

I have an addiction to single shots, in particular Rugers .... first rifle i bought for myself when I graduated and had a job.....Ruger # 1 RSI in 270 for ~ $650 I think it was. I still have the original action but its now a custom 6mm Rem. From .458 # 1 down to .223 # 3 I like em all. In 2014 I built a custom .275 Rigby and that one has been my favourite...for now. I may build a 300 H&H ...maybe ....

My fault. I had the rotate the photo after I typed it up. The 44 with the 20" barrel is pretty special and carries like a dream. Have a cat hunt in the near future I'll use it on. I was lucky to be in PR this one out and took it home. the day they came in and picked it out

I waited over 10 years to get my Ruger #1 in 270 Win. I have killed a ton of game with it. It has made some very long shots as well. It was worth the wait for sure.

These RSI K models are, in my opinion, the best looking rifle there is.

PR does still show a 300 HH. Sorry to poster above, I didn't check on the 257 first.

Had both the the 9.3x74 and the 300 H&H . They have moved on. Of my remaining #1 a colour case hardened 1A in 22 Hornet , along with a 1A in 222 with Boddington wood and my 38x55 IS are pretty special.

Default Amazing Rifle

I have a Ruger No 1 Medium Sporter in a 270. Absolutely love this gun. It's had no extra work done to it and with a 100GR Speer soft point handload it shot a 3 shot group that looks 2 holes touching each other at a 100 yards. Amazing.
