Don't think any other position would fit in a 7.5' ceiling hight. They are way bigger the. You think in the house, and yes wives hate them!! Haha

Don't look like a bugle pose

Guys, please dont bash other peoples mounts. I started this thread for ideas - I dont want it to be shut down or discourage people from posting their mounts.

It has iveries. If it was bearing its teeth I think it would be a bad mount. Not sure I've ever seen a bull show its grill when it bugles. Then again what do I know about elk hunting...

That bull looks like it's coming to mama for a feed ! Nice elk, in my opinion,it's a bad form . Don't let it hurt your feelings

No hurt feelings here. The OP asked about mounts. ..but the AO pros had to be the professing critics. ..who said it was a bugling pose..elk do many calls....this is one of several book elk taken with a bow...this one is a 400 plus bull...when you pros take a 400 plus with a bow we can compare and hopefully I can tell you what is wrong with your mount...without trying to hurt your feelings
But then again what do I know about elk hunting..
Thanks for your Profesional opinions...
Neil

Default Hard left turn with a basic wall habitat

Done by Rangeline Taxidermy with a basic wall habitat from McKenzie Supply. rangelinetaxidermy.com
The picture is a bit dark but you you get the idea of what a hard turn with a closed mouth would look like.

A neat elk mount I did . Not a huge one but the pose puts some life into it with an eye rotation
