Default Ram river falls

Hey guys, took my dad out fishing at the falls for half a day and caught a bunch of beauty cutties. We were fishing right below the falls. I'm heading back with some buddies on Friday, anyone have success on other parts of the river. Don't have to give up spots just looking for a larger area to fish. Thanks! Btw we are all in pretty good shape so hiking isn't a problem.

Above the falls I have had some amazing days. When they are on the warer boils with rises. If they are not eating on the surface then nymphs are the ticket. Be prepared as there are some big cutties up there

Haha yeah the hike down isn't easy but the way up is even worse, great fishing though.

How do yogurt above the falls? Just hike through the trees or is there a path?

If you look at a map of the area there is a road that parallels it for miles.

It's been a lot of years since I fished the Ram, mid 70s in fact, but I never fished below the falls, we fished Hummingbird mostly. Good fishing and only a few miles west with good road access right to the waters edge.
Lots of little fish.

Used to be a river crossing on the hummingbird, no bridge, just a trail through, stalled the car in the middle of the stream. Next morning there was a foot of snow on the ground. That was mid July. Took us six hours to make it ten miles down the forestry road. Fun times.

Back then a six inch Cut was considered good sized. At first I thought I was catching the runts but long time fishermen who knew the river told us, and showed us, that was about as big as one could expect.
There were always rumors of bigger fish but no one ever seem to catch them, so we quit going.

Moved to the Berland for a while, then tried the Sundance, then packed up and moved back to the Peace Country.

Haven't fished for Trout since. My fly rod is so out of date it could be considered a collectable.

All I will say is that there are a ton of large cutthroats in humingbird.
