Default CVR or McGregor

If you only had one or two days to get out in the year which would you chose. The intent is to stay the night and go for burbs and then get some pike action later the following day. I hate hard decisions.

You might see Elvis Presley there too, lol. I’m sure perch and whitefish are in there, but I’ve never seen or heard of any being caught. I’ve been going there for 15 years now. Not like I know it all but if you got some stories to share....
I’d guess the Burbot in McG or Travers are bigger, yet probably easier to catch it CVR based on area.

I’ve seen bigger from Travers. But I was just guessing.

Caught many nice ones at Cvr myself as well as friends that I have sent there. I would go there first myself.

I got to say CVR as well. I have much better luck with the Burbs their and although I haven't caught any, I have visual confirmation from my marcum that perch do exist.

Well, I went to CVR for the burb action and stayed overnight with the two year old and it was unfortunately a bust. It seems my old burb spot is a thing of the past. The last few years I have caught less and less. Time to prospect new areas I suppose.

We then tried our hand at Newell for the first time the following day and it too was a bust. I never get skunked like that, but a bad day on the ice is still better than a good day at work. Thanks for the help guys.
