Default Disappeared Canadian brands

A buddy and I were chatting about vanished Canadian firearms. We came up with Cooey, Longbranch CIL and Ross. What others have vanished? We know Savage stopped production, etc. I'm talking vanished.

For ammo, Dominion, CIL, Imperial.

There must be lots more?

That is correct , but they were still C.I.L. Guns and some of them were actually designed by C.I.L. And not available through the original manufacturers .

There was an ammunition manufacturer (may have been commercial reloads)? located just south of Lethbridge (perhaps Magrath or Raymond). Went out of business a long time ago (prior to 1990, I think). Don't recall the name. Had some ammo or brass in a box with their name on it.

Default Ace shotgun shells

Ace was a Canadian shotgun shell maker. I have a hunch they would be sold at stores like Fields. If you want some, there's a few boxes in the 'vintage' section at ProLine Guns in Calgary.

I always admired the name "Whiz Bang" in .22 shells. Not sure if they were Canuckian, though

They were in Raymond... got a bunch of police contracts....decided to cheap out with the loads...got fired and folded shortly after that. Greed will kill.

Mc Cracken, I believe, actually hunted with him once, one of life's tragic stories.

Ya Gevelot was a French company but they loaded some in in Saskatoon from 1961 to 73, but i think the components were not made there.
