With the amount of work being done out there I'd say late August! Can one still use the shotgun facility at this time?

as of tonight, the range is still closed. Can't wait to see what they're doing out there. Saw a rough plan at the cleanup, should be an improvement.

It sure would be nice to see some before and say 1 or 2 weeks later pictures....then we can all understand how and why Governments treat shooters, and firearms owners the way they do.

I wouldn't use the Word Private - "Club Range" would be a better term ..

Gotta love those targets on top of the berm. This obviously cost some money. Who paid the tab?

was out there today, looks good! It is exactly 100 yards. Pick up your targets when you are done!! It opened yesterday and there was already a target left out there when we got there at 10:30 this morning!!

Very nice. I was just going to post that the "public range closed" signs were down when I drove past on 68, today; and lo and behold, there are posts indicating it's open! Might have to head out some day next week, to run through a box or 2.

We were asked:

Quote:
With the new range format at the public area, are there provisions for shooting .22 at 50m? Can IDPA/IPSC type target stands be used or does everything have to attached to the 100m berm?

Thanks
Yes - please use IPDA/IPSC H Stands .. Put your target high so that the bullets hit the "Back Stop" at 50 Meters/yards

You can use Lath, 2x4, or 2x2 as the uprights - if it is windy use put some weight on the stand

Cheers

I just bought a new rifle, been a Bow Hunting for 16 years. I was wondering when the best time would be to use the range. Wondering if tomorrow is okay. I have to zero my rifle still and would like to make use of the public range. Thanks!

The range is open.

It is busy on weekends from dawn on at this time of year. Be prepared to wait a bit after 7:30 Am.

In the afternoon the sun is in your face.

Be safe!

Its marked by the thick carpet of unpoliced empty shotgun shells.
