So couple of us are planning to draw our archery antelope tags for this fall. I’ve heard all sorts of dates what do you guys think peak rut it. We’re planning to take off around the 17-22 of September. What’s your thoughts.

Thanks

Best days I've ever had with decoy success is Sep 17-19th. I think your timing is great.

Peak rut, being defined as when the majority of does become receptive to mating, is typically around the 19-21.

Peak decoying is a few days earlier.

Looking forward next season now just to finally decide what zone we’re gonna draw for thinking 151 hope the winter isn’t to hard on them.

your timing should be spot on. Winter hasn't really put much pressure on them. Should be a great year for winter survival. We are planning to cash in on our prioritys for trophy antelope.
