Default Gull Lake

was out at sandy point on sunday. had my half-ton out there and saw a few one tons too. still a decent amount of ice, ~20" i would say but i did not measure precisely. need 4x4 to get on as the mud hole out front is a mess. other then that fishing was decent, caught 50-60 perch, kept 4 of the biggest for a nice dinner.

Was out on Sunday @ Sylvan. RR23 still looking good. Deep slush by launch - probably need 4x4 to enter/exit.

Almost 2 feet of ice where most people are at.

I was there this past Sunday, out from Sparrowhawk. 6-8" of snow had just fallen over night, but there was at least 18" of solid ice anywhere I drilled a hole. No worries at all.

Was probably around 20 in at Pigeon and people driving on all over the places but still need to be careful as a few holes we drilled had soft spots in the ice.

Wabamun was the same way last weekend too where our quad was breaking through top few inches of soft ice in spots.

Time to walk or quad out guys, don't push your luck.

Default Buffalo Lake

Fished Buffalo yesterday and I think we were the only ones on the lake. Little worried about taking the truck out so we used the quad and trailer. Ice is approx. 20 in. with just a bit of thin ice when driving on. The fish were not biting but nice to get out. The gate is locked up to get on the north west end at Bashaw.

I took mine out today, did some mapping. Bit of a surprise to see a guy show up on a Seadoo, he didn't last long, must have been really keen!!!

At Sandy today, still accessible, beach mud pit has dried up and is a little more stable. keep to the left and it's clear sailing. Was out with a half ton, measured 20" of ice.

Good Ice, some spots 20 - 28" thick. Flood water is beginning to become prevalent. Drover there on Saturday and washed a bunch of hooks.

Sylvan ice is still 20inches, but lots of cracks formed today.... Few folks out driving in trucks, but I'd suggest walking on
