Only went out for a couple hours, getting around was fine. Snow is not deep, just slippery. Good luck!

I made my way down to Gull for the first time yesterday. After a couple of spots - I found the perch out from that point in the middle of the lake on the west side in about 16-20' of water. I was in the midst of a frenzy, catching dozens... except that 90% of them were 4-5" little tough guys (kind of like chihuahuas). I managed to get my limit of 10"+ though. Not a jack fish all day. (Yay! - I was targeting perch!).

Today - different story - they weren't really biting like yesterday. I managed to get one 10" keeper (as soon as my hook was in the water this morning) and then about 10-15 or so of those little guys got sent back to grow up. Pulled up a couple of decent sized jack fish today. They were keepers, but got sent back to fight another day.

It was a good couple of days!

It was good fishing today, my son and I caught about 15 perch, 2 pike, 1 huge burbot ( you guys know you can't keep burbot in Feb). My buddy was fishing about 50 feet south of me saw 1 pike all day (we have cameras). Funny how some spots produce while other close by come up dry.

It's how you wiggle your worm. Was fishing with a buddies hook and line about 3ft away from him, he still out fished me 10 to 1 He caught 18 and I caught 2 perch. Same hook and line and only 3 ft away.

everybody needs a friend like this to keep them humble.

I have one....schools me all the time with 30 year old witchcraft type stuff....i concede defeat and borrow some of his ridiculous gear only to catch the same skunk i was working on before the switch.

No gadget in the world can replace some of them old timers and their tricks.
