Default Crestliner Fish Hawk 1600SC

Does anyone have one of these with a 75hp 4 stroke on it. I am wondering what the performance is like and top speed.

I bought that exact boat with the 50 hp 2 stroke on it. Does 32 mph with the 50 so I imagine the 75 will be closer to 40 mph.

I am seriously considering this boat, but I really want a 4 stk. I have been told that the 75 (de-tuned 90hp) is too heavy for this boat. Considering that the 2 stk Optimax is only 25 lbs lighter it will probably be a little quicker out of the hole. I can't see how the performance would be much different, but I would really like to hear from someone who has first hand experience.

Default Crestliner in alberta

To get the straight goods about crestliner in alberta
talk to the boys at free spirit in edmonton .
I have 1650 sport angler with 90-4strk.
goes good , trolls a little quick but there are ways around that ...
50hp. merc 4 strk excellent fishing motor , trolling very
good , cant believe you wouldnt be a little under powered
2-3 guys ,gear , 432 sandwiches ..libations , etc.
That 75 doesnt have the best rep.
800lb boat you would get away with a sixty ...
Any questions PM me dont want to turn this into a commercial .

I had a 1600SC with a 70hp 2stk, loved the boat,top speed was 38mph GPS.
If you plan on crashing the big waves consider a 17' Sport Angler with the 17 dead rise, handles the rough stuff a bit better but will have to push more water. I have a 1750 Sport Angler with a 115 4stk,have hit 41-42 gps by myself.

I have the 1600sc with a 50 2 stroke. Does 30-32 mph. Just fine for AB. Unless your planning to fish Cold Lake from the Prov. Park to the Martineau River every day....50 if fine and 75 will kick arse.

I Have a 1600 Fish Hawk with a Evinrude (Suzuki) 4 stroke 70hp. I would love to get ride of the 70 4 stroke and go with a 90 Evinrude E-Tec.
Get the biggest engine you can and remember the new 2 strokes are as clean as the 4 strokes with less weight and way better bottom end grunt.
