Default great day and a monster

so once again weatherman had it wrong so i popped down to herm for a quickie before the game. on my first cast i hooked on to the biggest pike iv'e seen come out of the nsr. filled one boot in the soft mud, and slashed a finger on her gill plate but it was worth it. 37" and FAT! had to be close to 2O lbs. not one other person there to take a pic of me kissing this gorgeous girl. before i left i caught another pike and a wallie, and saw 2 burbot, 2 goldeye, somemore pike and walleyes caught including 2 very big wallies. i think this is going to be a good year for some monsters.

not sure about eggs, but you could tell she was pretty old. her skin was loose, so maybe post spawn?

Wow... thats huge good job. That spot seems to hold the odd monster pike. I don't know what it is about it but they like it there. I saw a big one caught on the other side, and supposedly the day before I fished where you were a guy caught a very large one on a 5 o diamonds. I did not witness that one. This was years ago though. Got to love the river... never know what kind of river monsters you'll catch.

Can't wait to get back out today. Now just to choose a place to go since the debris coming down is slowing a bit and there's way more options. Had a good time out by fort Sask yesterday!
