Default Any tips for Abraham

Heading up this weekend to do some fishing on the east side by the dam. anyone have any tips that they would be willing to share with a beginner to the area?

I have heard the lake can get very choppy in a hurry and it's dangerous. Be careful.

Fishing is also supposed to be tough - but you can search previous threads on Abraham on this site.

Forget the lake and fish the headwaters of the dam. We've caught so many different species/sizes of fish right in the turbulent water. Be careful as the water level can raise/fall rapidly (6-8" in a moments notice).
