Default Does boat ban include inflatable?

I really hate asking questions with out trying to find the answers first on Google etc.
So either im not asking the right question or i just am blind and cant find a thing.

Anyway to the question. If theres a boat ban in some Alberta waters does the ban include belly boat and/or pontoon?

Hmmm I wasn't aware of boat bans. I was just aware of boat with motor bans. Are there lakes you can't put a canoe in?

Yes a belly boat or pontoon is considered a boat.

Boat ban depends on the level of ban. There are water bodies which no boats are allowed, no electric or motor boats allowed and no motor boats allowed.

I believe most of these are listed in the shipping act but might be some private water bodies with their own rules in place too(in which case you would have to deal with owner to figure out your answer).

There are a few, schedule 1 in the link above shows them. Just a handful of reservoirs and small ponds.

Also a bunch of sections of water bodies as referenced by signs. Many of which I haven't even seen when at those water bodies but some of which I know do exist.

a boat is classified as anything that floats that you are manning to travel or fish from. if you use a inflatable pool toy for travel or to fish its considered a boat and all rules apply. hell if you cut tree and float the log its a boat, according to the game warden last summer who pinched us fishing off pool toys in small pond
