Default Thoughts on Winchester WILDCAT 22

Looking at WILDCAT COMBO, SYNTHETIC, REFLEX SIGHT 22. Would like 1” at 50 y. Anyone try this? Any thoughts. Might not be accurate enough for me.

I have looked at those...that's a big ask for a reflex sight! The red dot itself will be bigger than 1" @ 50. Not sure about the rifle's capability.

BTW, Winchester Wildcat 22 ammunition is some of the worst stuff on the market. The ammo absolutely won't do 1"@ 50 yds.

Thanks.
Semi 22 accuracy has me turned off. I like the cleaning take down of the Winchester. Maybe a pump would be more accurate?

Being a semi auto doesn't make for an inaccurate rifle, a quality semi auto, with good ammunition, will shoot with anything but a top level bolt action. My Volquartsen averaged under 1" at 100m, better than most bolt action rifles. The Wildcat rifle however, is not a quality semi auto, and the Wildcat ammunition is very low quality.

Not sure about the rifle in question. 22 accuracy comes down to what ammo it likes. Semi or bolt won't make a huge difference. I have two 10/22 clones made by Dlask arms in BC. One is basically a Kidd clone with Dlask reciever, other stock Dlask. Both will shoot better than I can hold with SK standard ammo. 5 shot groups at 50m all around .5 inch. The Kidd barrel is better than the stock Dlask. More consistent.

Good review here:

Skip to the last 2-1/2 mins if you’re bored easily…..

FWIW: I wouldn’t buy the rifle………….

Thanks for the info and pm. I’m picky and it’s not something I need right away so I’ll wait for a nice one.

What exactly are you looking for?

Semi that's accurate, cheap semi that's may be accurate? More info needed to help.

I've shot numerous types of ammo through the Wildcat and MOA at 50 is a large ask out of this rifle. Plus it has a pretty short LOP for an adult. Would be a great first rifle for a kid.
