I was at Wizard lake this afternoon. too hot and nothing biting, Then I hooked into this whopper! Anyone know what kind of fish it would be?

that black spot near the base of the tail suggests spottail shiner, however the hint of gold suggests walleye/perch....... did it have a spiny dorsal fin?
