Eating fish near Edmonton
Ok I just moved back to Edmonton and love eating fish. Looking for the closest and best eating fish to catch and eat near Edmonton. I know of several lakes and river around Edmonton but none of them seem good for eating fish.
Thanks

fish the pembina river for tasty walleye. lots to be had in there, and they're clean.

Good luck, the closest thing I can find are muddy trout from Sauer... No where close by that you can keep walleye, can't find any perch, hell even finding a pike over 63 cm is difficult...

you cant keep any sturgeon on the n.s.r, and as for trout, sauer lake or chickcacoo lake is great, make a nice curry out of them and they wont taste muddy, or put alot of flavour in em

It is easy enough to catch trout near Edmonton, I don't know that they fall into the good eating category though.

If I wouldn't drink the river or lake-water, I wouldn't eat anything that lived in it. That's why I wouldn't eat any fish caught near Edmonton in the summer. Wait for ice-fishing season, until then, buy your fish from the grocery store.

callings not nearly as bad as pidgeon and wizard . calling would be acceptable quality, the slot size is pretty small so there always tasty.
