My 2021 F150 has climbed to 12.4 l/100km during this cold spell, the extra idling and not using the auto stop/start, definitely makes a difference.

My 21, F350 6.7 motor, with Toyo AT3's on it, running usually 10 kph over the speed limit. The average right now after this cold snap is 15.1 LP/h. It was in the low 13's this summer. Not a work truck.

Guys, gas milage is going to be very important in 2022. Gas Buddy claims we are going to get 20% increase at the pump to around $1.60/ liter. Real cold weather does not help as well.

The old 5.7s weren't known for great mileage, but even at that, I think there has to be something wrong with yours. That is 12 mpg so unless the EVIC is wrong or you are doing a lot of idling it should be at least in the 16l/100 range.

Haha yes my last tank worked to 13.4mpg. Cold weather no doubt has some effect but tundras not known for efficiency. But it’s a work truck and gets used as such. I generally get worse mpg by a good chunk than everyone else in everything I drive.

Had to revitalize this thread. I bragged about my 99 dodge on pg 3. Well when the cold weather hit I was commuting 10km each way in 4x4 from heated garage to heated parkaid. Got 28L/100 km. I'm pretty sure tht the carbon tax I paid caused it to warm up and break the cold snap.

It should get better. In July I drove my 2017 2500 Duramax to the coast. From the house to Clearwater BC was 757 KM...9.5L/100K
As can be seen,...this one is broken in.

Ram gas mileage
My 2014 ram 3500,6,4 hemi.
My gas mileage depends how wind is hitting .
On empty truck, h-wy drive. Edmonton to edson
Computer show 14,5l /100km(sometimes 15l)
And always wind hitting front. Way back wind help gas mileage and get about 14l/100km.
Different story ,hunting driving with heavy flat deck trailer with camper on and atv+ all gears.
Take about 29l -or30l per 100km driving with wind hitting front.( about 2litters of gas less with wind favour). Not much different, summer driving with 5th wheel trailer. Compared with my previous diesel truck I pay about $10 more for gas truck.
Only I miss my diesel truck when driving mountains or
pass another vehicle. (Diesel power)
But with cost of maintenance and repair I spend on diesel truck, I am happy with gas truck
Another factor I like, gas truck have bigger payload.
Currently I look for new truck camper.
