Default Honor System Fishing Derby

The thread about cheap vs expensive tackle piqued something;

How could we have an online derby based on honor? Or rather; would members post their catch ratios including long range and close range losses and equipment used that day?

No measurements or weights just numbers, all species, and hours put in. Guesstimates - give or take 3 pounds - are fine, as are no pictures, unless you want to post em.

Now we all know that us fisherfolk are by gosh'darn, the most honest people on the planet, never inflicted with exaggeration or embellishments within our conversations, nor people to misslead others on how and where to fish. So with all this awesomeness of absolute, untainted honesty, lets have a good ol friendly competition, and post catch rates on this thread;

Pick your rod/reel class,

$20 thru $50

$50 thru $100

$100 thru $150

$150 thru $300

$300 plus

It's catch rates not size,, don't matter if you're fishin from boat or shore or from an anti-gravity lounge chair on the deck of your RV. Terminal tackle, cranks, flyboy, jigging all equal.

So, who's in?

Do missed bites due to snack time, fiddling with the i-pilot, talking to the wife on the phone or sharpening hooks (or other distractions) count against the rod/reel combo?

If so, my high end gear sucks .....

St.Croix Mojo rod ($120) with a Abu Garcia Revo STX Bait caster ($200) ......... so I'm in the $300 plus category .......

Monday - landed ~ 30 and missed maybe 3 (not counting legitimate distractions)......

Call it 90% on a sample size of 33

The $10 wine tastes better when you tell the person drinking it the bottle costs $50
