Blew out the sidewall on one of the tires on my truck, needed new set, about a month ago. Tried kijiji route - price/quality/availability wasn't there. Priced out cheap no-name chinese tires, checked a couple of used tire shops... Ended up getting set from Costco (again). With the mileage warranty, etc etc etc... Yes, waited a week for them to be shipped, but thanks god for full size spare.
Considering the discount the had for tires, this and that - i would've saved $150 or so on no-name or used set, with no warranty and service package (like flat repairs and rotations).
I say Costco is the best route unless you know someone who can give you real "friends and family" discount.
