Hey Trevor
Mount looks good, to get better pics take the mount outside on an overcast day. Back away from the mount then use the zoom on you camera to come in
that way the focus won't be on his nose.
Take a bunch of pics and put them on the puter and use the best ones to show your talent

Example- no glare- full animal i focus

Hey Rack

Nicely done!!!!!! Great to have someone take you through the steps and teach you....really shortens the learning curve and eliminates alot of trial and error and maybe a bad habit or two as well. Your wife should be thrilled and congrats on the great job......Marco

Thanks guys for the comments and suggestion on taking pics. I really apprecaite the comments from the both of you as you're both excellent taxidermists. Thanks again for the encouragement! Really would love to make this thing a part-time gig in the next year or two. Right now we're contemplating a move to BC so that would factor into things. For now its all about learning and learning and learning!

Another nice mount Rack. What brand of ear liners did you use? (or are they bondo?)

Great photography tips, that is actually one of my favorite sections in the Alberta Outdoorsman.

As for the mount it looks pretty good to me! I have seen mounts come from a taxidermist that did not turn out as well as that one did!

I think there should be a DIY section on the form, there have been a lot of guys that have posted either mounts they did themselves, camp stoves they have made, trailers, etc... I saw a DIY section on another form and it had a lot of really great projects in it.
