Default grouse desease?

I know about rabbit and beaver, but is there anything to be aware of while processing grouse?

Is it sage to feed raw grouse to a dog? I was thinking to keep the hear and liver for my husky, but I'm not sure.

There are no real concerns in processing grouse. Just treat it like all game you are processing. With any animal, bird or fish take a good look at the innards when dressing the game. A sickly looking liver or internal organs and I wouldn't eat the meat before further testing.

Grouse can carry west nile virus, but supposedly can't infect humans.

I don't know much about dogs but I do know they have carnivore teeth which would inicate they would love the odd liver, heart or gizzard. Can't see it harming a big dog.

Last year I shot a ruffed grouse and the breast and leg meat was totally green. Like newly grown pine needle green. I opted out of keeping the meat since I didn't know if it was safe to eat. A few hours later all that was left was a pile of feathers and coyote tracks.
As with any wild game there can be diseases and other concerns to deal with.
