Great bull!!
Curious as it seems you killed him with a frontal shot what poundage, broadhead and arrow weight you are shooting and how far did he go until he died?

Not questioning your shot at all just curious as I have wondered about a shot like that myself.

You bet, and thanks. I'm shooting 70lbs@29" the arrows are axis enfused cut to 27 1/2 9.5gpi. I think I cronied it at about 290fps. Broad heads 100g rage 2 blade. The original ones.
When I shot him he bolted about 40 yards parallel to the line I was on and stopped. He stood with his head drooped low for about 5 seconds and then took off straight away on a death run and crashed. So in total I'd say about 80 yards.
If I get a chance I'll take a pic of broadhead and post. It made it just through the diaghram.

Nice bull Travis, I'm running the same streak as you are, nothing bigger than a 5x6. I gave up on trophy hunting a few years back, now any legal animal is a hard earned trophy in my eyes. Congratulations!!

I agree any legal elk or moose is a trophy for me I will never turn down a legal bull and one day a big bruiser will step out first!

I think the one posted is a dandy!!
