Default Rainbow trout

Hey guys back home in bc I used to do alot of rainbow trout fishing at our cabin. Out there we used to use a single hook and a worm. What I am wondering is what works best out here for rainbow trout?

That still works pretty good out here.

Personally I use gulp baits. One lasts as long as 5-6 worms, with the same catch rate. Trout are the same here, find the right depth and they bite all day.

My go to trout catchers....

A. Power bait yellow corn - 2 on one hook

B. Wire worm with one piece power bait

C. Small jig head with one piece power bait

You can replace powerbait with maggot/meal worm/velveeta ball

In summer, cast/retrieve dry fly or slip float with option A

Brilliant!!

And there is no better feeling than having a trout rise to your dry fly!!

Ok...maybe one better feeling

I should add that I use a 4-6 lb leader and keep terminal tackle to a minimum.

For dry fly, I use a clear float and have about a 3' leader min. You can add water on the float to let it cast further and sink the line a bit.
