Trapping a Fox and Selling The Carcass?

Hi All,

I have a fox (or raccoon possibly?) causing a problem with my chickens. We are in a relatively high density rural area so I have to be careful how I trap it (in case I catch a dog...). I live in central Alberta.

I was planning on using a cage trap from Peavy Mart. Do these work? What bait is best?

If I catch something, is it legal to sell and does it have any value? How would I sell it?
