Default Confused About Castoreum

Could someone take a moment and explain how the sale of castoreum works?

I submitted 2 castors for the last auction. At the depot they simply marked my receipt with an "X" under castoreum and it showed up on my NAFA account as "1". The only place that it shows on my account is on the receipt and today when I looked, the "1" had been changed to a "7". Is that ounces?

I guess that my biggest question is.......When and how is castoreum sold? Thanks!

My understanding is that it's only sold private treaty. I believe they re-weigh when it sells.
A good read.

Default castoreum

Dave,

As I mentioned on another site, once it shows up in your lotting letter, it is sold...my castor is now listing as sold for both auction houses. It always sells private treaty for both. Great prices by the way, higher than my rat average, witch wasn't all that bad.

Thanks Larry. I just wasn't understanding how it worked but it showed in my account tonight. I only had two sets of castors (7 ounces) but I made $29.51 off them. I'm okay with that.

I found the info wrt castoreum tonight as well. They say that there are 3 grades, #1, #2 & #3 but mine graded CLN. I'm not sure what that's all about but it doesn't really matter I guess.
