Default Anyone ever ice fish the east side of slave lake by big fish bay?

Thinking of heading up that way and was thinking about the area around devonshire beach.

If you can get around Dog Island that would be where I would head. East/NE side was good for me in the past but I suspect anywhere around there would be good given the structure

Not many guys try over there Compared to the community holes. Always assumed the majority of spring spawning fish headed west. The narrows were always good in mid late march and if you watched your camera the fish were moving nose into the slight current headed west. Good luck and good things come to those that stumble on a bunch of fish that haven't seen a hook for awhile on a big lake like slave.

Be careful of ice conditions if you venture out around dog island.
