Default Temporary/movable privacy fence ideas

I would love to enjoy my backyard again without my annoying neighbors ruining my time like they always do, I don't plan on being at this house much longer (looking to move hopefully this winter) but housing/interest rates seem to be going crazy and I'm wondering if its worth sticking out for a bit yet.

Anyways, im not looking to build a permanent wood fence as I don't want to dump a bunch of money into something (neighbor is poor, and would never entertain any idea of splitting material half way) like that for the next guy, id like to have something that gives me privacy now that I can ideally take with me to my next place I buy and then utilize the materials to build a permanent fence there.

Been racking my brain about ideas and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts that they could throw out there to get my thinker rolling

Free standing corral panels.
You can probably buy them, use them for a year, and sell them for what you paid.

This was my immediate thought except with tarps over a rope line.

I wonder what the bylaws are about something like that.

Can get green mesh-style snow fencing for pretty cheap. How much privacy is required?

I have a 4ft tall dog run, but you can buy 6ft tall dog runs, cut plastic to put on the fence, to get you some privacy, and have some welder make you some T's to allow the fence to sit

You can rent temporary removable panels with privacy screen for cheap (typically used in construction). I believe you can rent the panels for like $0.50-1.00/month per, plus the locking pins are extra. Just an idea if your looking temporary. You would have to pick up and return or pay the extra to get them delivered. Around Edmonton I would use Fastfence, not sure what is available in Camrose.

We took some survey stakes and some lattice. Pounded in the survey stakes and attached the lattice to the stakes with zip ties. We have a hedge around the property but keeps the dogs from getting out.

Pallets are free, limited only by your imagination

Could use the stuff fencing companies put around work sites. Just have to secure some tarps to it. As mentioned, sell when you move.

As previously mentioned, rent or buy some construction fence panels then buy some privacy screens (they come in 4,5 and 6 foot heights and 50 or 100 foot lengths) off of the Amazon site. They will have grommets every foot and you can zip tie them in place.

I don't even know why pallets slipped my mind!

Going to have to start collecting them whenever I can

One trip up town to a local business or 2 with a stack would give you all you need. We give away hundreds a year, and still have to send hundreds away to get burned. In our town, usually some stacks outside of businesses 10-15 tall with free signs on. No other way to ship stuff

Check out no-dig black metal fence panels at Lowe’s/Home Depot. They link together so are relatively sturdy, and you can use a pipe strap to attach the end panels to a post.

I mowed the good neighbors grass right behind my place, and he called the Police on me saying I was checking up on him. That was a fun call 2 days after we had the funeral for the grandsons' dad. The cop got several earfuls that day. Now anytime the grass is anywhere near mowing height the drug dealer goes and cuts the good neighbors grass for him, even against his wishes. Real treat for both of us, the dealer hacking up an acre of lawn.

I would love a solid 8' fence just so I do not have to look at the old slob. But, bylaws only allow for certain height. I abide by them whether others do or not.

Maybe I need to put up one of those 'U-pick free' signs out on the highway with his address
You need to pump in classical music, like the corner stores do to move the vagrants along.

Unfortunately they'd just crank their terrible music louder, I know my sound system in my garage can far out perform whatever they have but there's no sense irritating the rest of the neighborhood. I guess respect for your neighbors skipped a few generations there. The kids mom is no better either Unfortunately
